Pending successful attainment of visas and waiver of any existing bond or probationary requirements, the athletes, as ambassadors of American charm, sophistication and vitality, travel to England and Wales to compete for King of Soy XXV - its Silver Anniversary.

Like the Roman invaders of the first century, defending Champion Donnie "DXL" Nurenberger, Tampa, Florida, will tread English and Welch soil in pursuit of a conquering victory. His XXIV crown an impressive turn for the once shoe-less athlete, formerly regarded more for his post-round prowess. Yet, in the words of William Shakespeare, a local playwright, uneasy is the head that wears the crown.

A Heartfelt Video Tribute to His Surprising Victory
Joining the athletes will be local countrymen and hosts from the equally prestigious Warren Cup. The Englishmen returning the favor of Soy hosting them in 2011 at the fine American venue of culture and leisure, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Upon arrival in Manchester, England on Friday, August 30, the athletes will be warmly welcomed at the Chester Races, the oldest race course still in use in England. Reports of a welcome reception hosted by Princes William and Harry, fellow aviators of Soy visionary Kurt Clauss, are not yet confirmed. In an initial show of ambassadorship with their English hosts, Soy athlete Tom "Whitey" White, a gentleman familiar with dignified hosting - and intimately so, will guide his fellow athletes in proper diplomacy and tact.
Ensuing days of competition bring Soy athletes to both Nefyn and Conwy Golf Clubs in Wales and The Belfry in the West Midlands. Host to more Ryder Cups than any other venue, the Belfry will provide venue of both competition and the annual banquet, where the athletes traditionally rejoice, repast and raise the companion cup of drink.
